ハロウィンがやって来た
今年も、ハロウィンの季節になりました。いつものように足を伸ばして「リゾナーレ八ヶ岳」にやってきました。ここで行われるプロジェクションマッピングは見ごたえがあります。毎年、工夫がされていて見る人を魅了します。この度も、狼男、フクロウ、鎧、魔女が煙とともに登場し、見物者を楽しませていました。ピーマン通りに置かれた装飾用のかぼちゃは、本物でたたくと良い音がしていました。どこで栽培しているのでしょうか。こんな大きなカボチャを。
今回のお楽しみは、2023年に見つけられた「紫金山・アトラス彗星」に会うことでした。２０２４年に近日点を通過したすい星で地球に最も接近する１０月１２日。夕方の空にみられるということですからアマチュア天文家としてはお会いしに行かないわけにはいきません。ニュースでは、どこどこで撮影した写真ですとか公開されていますので期待いっぱいでした。
しかし、どうでしょうか。曇り空に阻まれて月の姿すら拝むことが出来ませんでした。何度も何度も、外に出て、空を見上げるのですが何も見えませんでした。残念の一言で終わってしまいました。この次に、会えるのは8万年後だとか。ああ、誰も見れませんね。
天文観測を始めて、ハレーすい星に出会ったのが１９８６年でした。ハレー彗星の周期は７５年ですから、見られるのは、２０６１年７月ですから後、３７年後です。その時、私１０９歳です。無理でしょうね。夜空に賭ける命は天寿を全うするくらい楽しいものです。

It is Halloween time again this year. As usual, I stretched my legs and came to "Risonare Yatsugatake". The projection mapping done here is spectacular. Every year, the ingenuity of the projection mapping fascinates the viewers. This time, a werewolf, an owl, a suit of armor, and a witch appeared with smoke, delighting the audience. The decorative pumpkins placed on the street of peppers street were real and made a nice sound when I tapped. Where do they grow them? Such a big pumpkin!
The treat this time was to see the comet 紫金山-Atlas, which was found in 2023. The year 2024 is the closest approach of the comet to the Earth, which passed the perihelion on the 12th of October. As an amateur astronomer, I couldn't miss the chance to meet the comet as it will be visible in the evening sky. I had high expectations for the comet as the news published pictures of where and when it was photographed.
But what do you think? I could not even see the moon because of the cloudy sky. I went outside and kept looking at the sky, but I could not see anything. I could not see anything. I could only utter a word of disappointment. I heard that the next time we will be able to see it will be in 80,000 years. Oh, no one will be able to see it.
It was 1986 when I started astronomical observations and came across Halley's comet. Halley's comet has a period of 75 years, so I will be able to see it in July 2061, which is 37 years from now. I will be 109 years old. It will be impossible. Betting my life on the night sky will be so much fun that I will live a full life.
