The astrophotography

Does anyone remember the Astrophotography Blog? Briefly, it took a lot of work to take the pictures. First, I had to find a place near the southern foot of Yatsugatake where there was no light pollution and where I could have a 360-degree view. This was surprisingly time-consuming. Next, I had to choose a day when the moonlight would not disturb me. In addition, it is not possible to take pictures when it is lightly overcast or cloudy. In further, the equipment. Prepare a camera with a bright f/2.8 lens. Moreover, it should be wide-angle. In additional, I need to prepare a hood with a hot wire to prevent the lens from fogging up due to night dew, and I also need to get an Astro Tracer, unique to PENTAX, to track the diurnal motion of the stars. Then, I need to go to the shooting location with a tripod and prepare warm and windproof clothing. After all this work, I was disappointed when I see the photos I have taken. How many times have I had that feeling? Last summer's shoot ended in failure completely.😅

On April 2, I had another chance to try again and took only six pictures. I used a different set of equipment than before. The camera was a SONY condenser digital camera with a bright f/1.8 lens. I did not use any of my previous equipment. The shooting location was in the backyard of the house, as it was too troublesome to go far away from the house. The sky is bright because of the street lights and the lights at Kobuchizawa station, but this is the result of trying out the equipment. I was really surprised at how easy it was to take pictures of astrophotography. It was 3:30 in the morning when I decided to continue taking astrophotography at this pace. It is still cold, so don't forget to keep warm when you go outside to look at the stars.
